The AAS-A Sacramento Chapter is one of the youngest chapters in the organization. Our goal and mission as a chapter is to bring more unity to the Assyrian community in our city by sponsoring fundraising events throughout the year that will aid our nation in the homeland.  Having a youthful chapter, especially with the edition of the first student chapter of AAS-S in UC Davis, we bring new ideas like creating a gofundme account and Facebook page called “The Iraqi Relief Fund” that raised funds with both the Assyrian and the Christian community. Other fundraising events include Night of the Arts, Helping Hands, Open Mic Night, and Backgammon tournaments. Future events include a soccer tournament, participation in a 10K, and bringing back the Night of the Arts. Furthermore, we take initiative to work with Christian organizations and raise awareness amongst the non-Assyrian community about our cause.
