Shamiran Echi Is New President of AAS-A Chicago Chapter

The Assyrian Aid Society of America (AAS-A) is pleased to announce Shamiran Echi as President of its Chicago Chapter.

Ms. Echi, a graduate of Roosevelt University (B.A., Psychology) and employed at Conduent in Illinois, has served as Executive Secretary of the Assyrian American National Federation. She is also a volunteer coordinator at the Saint Francis Hospital for Cancer in Chicago and a mentor at Upwardly Global.

“We are excited to have Shamiran join the AAS-A leadership team,” said AAS-A Vice President and former Chicago Chapter President Renya Benjamen. “She has been a supporter and a volunteer for many years, displaying professionalism, dedication, a deep understanding of the Chicago Assyrian community, and a vision for the future of the chapter. We look forward to seeing her lead and grow the Chicago chapter in this new role.”
